Hello, friends! Tell me about the weather where you are. I'm curious!! Here it is wet and cold which will probably just make for an icy day tomorrow. Schools and work are closed. If we get to keep power, it may just be a much needed rest day!
My reading took a major left turn in the last week or so. Depression had me reading nothing, and I realized I was letting my looming TBR keep me from picking up something that might help so I put the pause on what I was reading and what I was planning to read, and I picked up a couple of Star Wars books.

I can see how Star Wars would be a comfort read! Stay warm and safe in the storm!
ReplyDeleteIt's great you recognized the need to set a book aside for something that would lift your mood (I have been there). It's snowing and blowing and icing here. Very cold, well below freezing. The trains stopped running at 2 pm today. We were already in a state of emergency, but no worries at my job. We expected to work which is fine as long as my power doesn't go out.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to set aside what wasn't working and to pick something that might and did.
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting the cold to arrive tonight here. We've done everything we can to prepare. Stay warm!
Our weather has been dry and in the 50s for high 20s for low. Happy to hear you found something you enjoyed reading. Hope you keep your power!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't lose power. Stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteI am blessed to live in the mildest area of Canada. Our temperatures this weekend are slightly below freezing overnight and about 6C during the day with sunny skies.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all don't lose power! We are bitterly cold with lots of snow. Sometimes you have to let go off the TBR pile and reach for something lighter, or different. For me, with depression, I reach for the romcoms.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week!
