Blog Hop: What's in a Name

Today's Follow Friday question over at Parajunkee's View is:

How did you come up with your blog name?

I wanted to have a name that felt like a sanctuary. A Book Den, if you will. :)

Book Blogger HopJennifer over at Crazy For Books asks:

Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?

I usually have several going at one time - physical book, ebook, audiobook. I read a lot of genre fiction, but I usually have a classic and a non-fiction book going, too.

Happy Friday Hoppers! What are you doing this weekend? I hope you have a great time! I'm hoping to finally do a lot of nothing! (That never happens.)

  1. Hey I'm a new follower from the friday follow! Your blog name makes me think of a cosy comfortable room with wooden shelves filled with books and big armchairs! Have a great weekend, hope you get some relaxation time!

  2. Cait - Yes! That! That's a sanctuary to me, for sure. :)

  3. Hello! I'm stopping by on the Blogger Hop. I have to say I love your header. Very classy. :) I just signed up as a follower. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  4. hi Jennifer,
    I am your new follower.

Nice words choice. I wonder what will you put inside of your Den ?

  5. Hi,

Stopping by via the Hop and now following, too! Looking forward to reading through your posts :)

Feel free to stop by my blog in your spare time,

    Take care & happy reading,
    Ms C

  6. Bravo for you - reading more than one at a time! I'm a 1 at a time girl and you can see why here:

I'm a new follower, btw. Love your blog!

  7. Hi, Happy Follow Friday! I'm a new follower.

    Happy Friday!
    My Hop!

  9. Hopping through. I usually have at least one e-book and several paper books going.
    My Hop

  10. Coming through on the blog hop.

I have no problem reading two books at a time though it does not happen often. I generally like to finish one and then start another

  11. It's a great name :D Ooh I would get so confused having more than one book going at the same time 0_0

  12. One of these days I WILL establish a reading sanctuary for myself!!! I'm also a multiple book reader. I see Where the Red Fern Grows on your bookshelf... Let me know if the book is as unbelievably sad as the movie. Have a great weekend!

  13. Old follower stopping through. I like the idea of a reading sanctuary. Sounds fun. I tend to have only one book going at a time unless there is an emergency of sorts.

  14. I'm amazed at people who can read more than one book at a time. I rarely do it because I get sucked into the current book I'm reading so well and just have to finish.

  15. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  16. I like your name! Simple and cozy :)
I'm a new follower and look forward to reading more of your blog and reviews!

  17. Hi
Just hopping by and following through. I can't read multiple books at once, it would drive me crazy

  18. How do you manage not to get confused by having so much going though? That's the main reason why I try to read just one at a time.

Here's my Book Blogger Hop: 3/18-3/21 post!

  19. The multiple books I have going are usually so different from each other I don't have a problem. Right now I have a YA fantasy and an adult steampunk going. I couldn't do it if they were in the same genre. I would wind up getting confused. :)

  20. Hopping by!

I read more than one book at a time, sometimes three, sometimes five!

I read varied genres, have a truly eclectic taste in books. Feel free to explore my blog, browse my reviews. I follow via google reader NOT GFC!
