Blog Hops: Casting Myself and Longest Book I Have Read

Today's Follow Friday question over at Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read is:

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

Growing up I always wanted to be one of the Babysitters Club girls! I would probably want to be Dawn so I could have a super cool secret passage in my house.

Were you a fan of the BSC? I absolutely loved those books.

Book Blogger HopJennifer over at Crazy For Books asks:

“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”

Since I still haven't finished Gone with the Wind, I'll have to say Robert McCammon's Swan Song. At 956 pages, that is quite possibly the longest book I have read.

  9. Thanks for stopping by my blog - I'm a new follower here :) I always wanted to be part of the BSC too. I loved the friendship they had.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  10. New follower hopping through! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) That's so funny you chose BSC -- I totally made a plan when I was ten to create my own babysitter's club because of those books. It didn't work, but I wish it did!

Hope you have a good weekend! :)

  11. Longest book I ever read was, I think, THE STAND uncut. OR whatever Stephen King book that might be longer. Actually, some of the Steve Erikson's books are pretty long. I think one of them I read was like 1100 pages long. Man.

So Divergent is good, huh? I might have to pick that up then.

  12. Hi Peter! Yeah - I think The Stand may weigh in bigger than Swan Song, huh?

Divergent is pretty good so far. I should finish it up tonight so I'll post on it soon. It has a very similar feel to Hunger Games, but I'm hoping it will end how I wished Hunger Games did. We'll see. :)

  13. I haven't read the Baby-sitters club. When I was young, it was all about Sweet Valley High lol. I LOVED those!
I dropped by to return the follow. I look forward to reading your reviews.

    Thanks for visiting FF

  15. Hmm...second mention of the Babysitters Club, but I don't know much about that :( I'm sure it would be awesome to be one, though.

God, 956 pages...I think it would take me 100 years to write something that long, haha.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  16. LOL! I wouldn't throw anything at you. Well, except for maybe a copy of "Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls". ;)

  17. I like the Babaysitters Club too when I was in HS! But I haven't read the books though, I've only seen the movie :)

    Thanks for your visit!

    I'm following :)

  18. Dawn was my favorite. My daughter, who I was reading them with, wanted to be Claudia. LOL

  19. OMG! Awesome the Babysitters Club. I loved those books as a kid. Thanks for stopping by.

  20. Thanks for stopping by! I didn't even think of babysitters club but I loved the books and I think it would be amazing to be in it

  21. Is Swan Song longer than The Stand (uncut version)? If so, then *that* is the longest book I've ever read.

  22. Noooo. Haha. I should have done more research than glancing at my bookshelf. It turns out The Stand, It, and The Witching Hour all have more pages than Swan Song. Oops. Oh well. :D

  23. My sister loved the Babysitter's Club books when she was younger.

    Aaron (Dreaming About Other Worlds).

  24. I remember Dawn's secret passage! So cool.
Thanks for stopping by on the hop!
