Blog Hop: What I Am Reading

Book Den is doing some blog hopping today. :) Jennifer over at Crazy For Books asks: "What are you reading now and why are you reading it?"

The two books I am currently reading:

Wizard and Glass (The Dark Tower, Book 4)Wizard and Glass (The Dark Tower, Book 4) by Stephen King
The end is near.
Start at the beginning.
I am reading this book as part of The Dark Tower series.  It will also count toward the Book Chick City Stephen King Challenge.

(See my post regarding Wizard and Glass.)

OriginOrigin by J.A. Konrath
When linguist Andrew Dennison is yanked from his bed by the Secret Service and taken to a top secret facility in the desert , he has no idea he's been brought there to translate the words of an ancient demon.

He joins pretty but cold veterinarian Sun Jones, eccentric molecular biologist Dr. Frank Belgium, and a hodge-podge of religious, military, and science personnel to try and figure out if the creature is, indeed, Satan.

But things quickly go bad, and very soon Andy isn't just fighting for his life, but the lives of everyone on earth...
I am reading Origin based off a recommendation on The Man Eating Bookworm's blog.  The author has the ebook available for free download on his website.

Parajunkee's Follow Friday blog hop asks What is the book you are currently 'pushing'?

The Hunger GamesCatching Fire (The Second Book of the Hunger Games)Mockingjay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games)

The book I have been pushing most lately would be the entire Hunger Games trilogy. I've been buying them up and passing them around. I love hearing who else those copies have been passed to as well!

Book Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Book Review: Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2) by Suzanne Collins

Thanks so much for hopping by today!

  6. I'm your newest follower! Hopping by to check in; visit in turn if you can.

The book I'm pushing is Fatty Legs, a terrific story of a girl's unbroken spirit in the face of hostility and alienation.

You can read my review of it here:

    Love Hunger Games, BTW!

  14. Thanks for stopping by. You should def read the VA series I love it. The first book is a little slow but it gets better. :) You know I read the first hunger games book and wasn't blown away by it, but I do have the other two to read so i'm hoping I'll like it better. What'd you think about the movie coming out?

  15. I love to see books adapted to movies. Even when all the details are left out and major changes are made, it's still like getting to visit with old friends for a while. I'm particularly excited about The Hunger Games movie because it's being produced by Lions Gate.

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  18. Thank you for visiting my blog, My Bookshelf. I have been wanting to read The Hunger Games trilogy for months now! I've heard so much about it and want to know if it lives up to all the hype. What is your opinion? I see those are the books you are currently pushing right now. What differentiates them from other YA books?

  19. Thanks for stopping by on the Hop! I hope you enjoy the books you've got going. I've never been able to get into Stephen King...but then I'm not much for thrillers.
